Its been in that tub since last summer .It survived the winter in the Garage along with 2 others .I hope I get a few figs this year .I'll just have to wait and see
Crowldawg Just checked out your fig tree post. That inspires me to try planting one of them next year. We have a couple of big trees on our terrace, but none bearing fruit. Come on back and check my site, nycgardner.blogspot.com, any time. Glad to have a visitor! urban gardener
When I planted the figs ,there are now 3, in pots I was told that they wouldn't survive. That was a year ago .Since then between the Garden net and many other gardening websites I have found that lot of people are growing them in pots.I have about a dozen on each of the oldest .Lets see what next year brings. They do need plenty of water in their containers .I water them twice a day .I wonder how much they would need on a terrace in the sky. thanks for looking in
Sept 2017. Have the same in pots plus 3 more and 3 in the ground. What ever it is I have a total of 8 .The potted ones produce regularly the ones in the ground not yet.I'n going to wrap them this fall

if it does not produce fruit you can always use the leaves as clothing....
Maybe I can go with a fig motif in the G/T and sow the leaves together for new curtains
