I visited a museum on the campus of the University of Tampa. The thing that stood out to me was all the gingerbread on the building. It was originally done by hand but as modern tools became available they were used .I tried to get a picture of a display case and the one I am posting was the best I could get with the new phone. It had a few samples of hand carved piece. laid out with a T square and rulers It also said that the head carpenter lost 3 fingers before he got the hang of those new electric tools. Having lost part of a finger to a shaper I can empathize.
