Where is He Going?

I'm sitting reading John Muir's book about his walk from Indiana to Cedar Key immediately after the Civil War. I look down and there it was .I wonder where he was heading??

Gingerbread

I visited a museum on the campus of the University of Tampa. The thing that stood out to me was all the gingerbread on the  building. It was originally done by hand but as modern tools became available they were used .I tried to get a picture of a display case and the one I am posting was the best I could get with the new phone. It had a few samples of hand carved piece. laid out with a T square and rulers It also said that the head carpenter lost 3 fingers before he got the hang of those new electric tools.  Having lost part of a finger to a shaper I can empathize.

Mikes Bees

Here are a few of his 25 hives. He is trying to keep the bees healthy and maybe make a few dollars

Nice Motor

A brand new blown flathead.Expense was not a consideration.

As Pogo once said

" We have met the enemy and it is ...Us" Lets not blame it all on the 'Commercial Guys'
this is the deck of a Party boat.I believe out of Montauk.Doesn't look like a catch and release trip.

Manatees

50 million gallons per day spring out of the ground in Homasassa,Fl .The air is 30 the water is 72. 72 year round.I counted 30 manatee around the spring .  200 were predicted by this morning as the Gulf  of Mexico cools rapidly.
