Getting Closer

All the doors and drawer fronts are made . The grouting is done in the bath .I will start trimming that room tomorrow.Hopefully a plumber by Monday. The drawers and doors still need to be sanded with 220 grit then I will start hanging them .I want to hang every thing. Mount the fronts and make sure everything fits before I get ready to paint. So they will go up then down.

  2. Looks good!

I saw random orbit disks in one picture. Are you like me in that I only hand-sand when it is unavoidable?

  3. Yes. I was going to ask you .Have you ever had to replace any of the bearings in you ROS? I fried the bottom bearing .It looks like it is pressed to an aluminum fly wheel. I would use a brass punch but I am afraid of breaking the Al.
The bearing(s) are costing me $33.00 including shipping and I just bought another for $68. I just hate to through something out if it can be fixed.
    I used 80,120 then 220.

  4. Yes, I have replaced bearings in my RAS. You can read the whole tale at an old web page made years ago for this outstanding tool.

  8. Tom ,
I apologize .I shot from the hip when I saw the first photo .It sure looked like a Sears saw to me . I sat down this A M and read the complete article .Delta was always my first choice But when some one offers you a saw and all the attachments ,just to get it out of his garage it was off to mine .
