I need a little imput

For the three or 4 people who read this stuff I have a dilemma. The old cabinets as you can see from earlier posts were white. It looks like they will be white again( some shade of).
Here is the big question. Paint today is not the paint of the past.I want to put the most durable finish I can buy without having to evacuate the house for a week or getting an EPA permit.
The original finish was some kind of white poly .I have kind of ruled out latex even though most web sites say it will do.I'm leaning toward Ben.Moore White High Gloss Impervo enamel. The old guys used to add a little poly to their enamels ?????
I have considered a 2 part poly base boat enamel but I have never used it on any thing including a boat.
So all suggestions are welcome.
Prep will be standard sanding and filling. At least 3 coats sanded down to 400 between coats, etc.

Getting Closer

All the doors and drawer fronts are made . The grouting is done in the bath .I will start trimming that room tomorrow.Hopefully a plumber by Monday. The drawers and doors still need to be sanded with 220 grit then I will start hanging them .I want to hang every thing. Mount the fronts and make sure everything fits before I get ready to paint. So they will go up then down.

New Garlic

I posted late last fall that I was planting garlic. If you look real hard you will see their little green tops poking through. They were mulched heavily with leaves. It looks like they made it .Lets see what they look like in a few weeks.

late winter or early spring vegetables

I kept these under plastic all winter. They are being cut up as I type.

Day 4/Cabinets

A few more photos for an update. All new wood is Poplar which takes paint very well. Its also the softest and most inexpensive hardwood. Why pay a fortune for hardwood and then paint it. All the drawer fronts are cut waiting for glue. I have decided to reuse the MDF raised panels on all the doors .Just make new frames and use new hinges. The drawers are all solid maple so they will remain.Just new hardware and slides.A new cabinet will be made for the empty space to the right in the last photo.

Small Steps

The first step in the finishing. The bathroom is now wainscoted and tiled I will grout in a few days /Letting the thin set cure for 48hrs.
After a three day marathon to get it done, I am beat. That is an understatement.
